IN LOVING MEMORY: ROSEMARY “ROSE” CANIZALES

In Loving Memory of
Rosemary "Rose" Canizales

In Loving Memory of Rosemary "Rose" Canizales

It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my beloved paralegal, Rose Canizales, who worked for me faithfully over the past 25 years. She passed away suddenly of natural causes Sunday evening.

Rose was born in Compton, California to Robert and Norma Canizales on October 20, 1953. She is survived by her mother, Norma Canizales, sisters, Deanna Rott and Cynthia Blackmore, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In 1986 Rose moved to Fayetteville, NC and began her career as a criminal paralegal assistant. Rose worked in this capacity until her death, enjoying the people she helped on a daily basis.

Rose
October 20, 1953 – July 12, 2020
Rose was known and loved for the care, compassion, and gentleness she displayed toward our clients and business associates. Her humble spirit was unusually special in this regard. Rose was a servant to many. Everyone who met with her left our office in a better frame of mind than when they came. She worked tirelessly to address their needs and concerns.

Rose’s life of service is exemplified by the following scripture passages:

“…For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
-Luke 18:14

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God”
-Matthew 5:3-9

Rose will be laid to rest in her home state of California. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to do so may send an honorarium in her memory to: Feed the Children, 333 North Meridian, Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
